What is the price of a tour and how do I book?

You can easily find our prices and book your tour on our website at www.ohiwaoysters.com/oyster-tours. Just click on the "Book Now" button and follow the simple steps.

Are you selling sacks of oysters?

Due to warmer waters, it's the oyster spawning season, so we're giving the little guys a break to do their thing. This means our supply is a bit limited right now. We really appreciate your interest, though! Feel free to check in with us once the spawning season is over – we should have plenty more then.

How much are oysters each?

Our oysters are renowned for their freshness and quality, making them a highly sought-after treat. To ensure that as many customers as possible can savor our oysters, we offer them in two options:

  1. A bag of one dozen fresh oysters is priced at $36.

  2. For a quick and affordable indulgence, you can also enjoy our battered oysters from the takeaway store at just $3 each.

Where do I embark on the tour?

The tour departs from Ohope Wharf located at 342 Harbour Road, Ohope. Look out for our vessel at the designated embarkation point, where our friendly crew will be ready to welcome you aboard for an incredible experience.

What is the cancellation policy on the tours?

Cancellations made before 7 days and 72 hours prior to the booking will be eligible for a full refund and/or free rescheduling. Cancellations made between 7 days and 72 hours prior to the booking will be eligible for a 50% partial refund or free rescheduling to an alternative date, subject to availability. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the booking will not be eligible for a refund. If you book and do not show, you will be counted as a no-show and will not be eligible for a refund.

Terms & Conditions

Booking Confirmation:

Customers must arrive 5-10 minutes before the scheduled tour time.
Please have your booking confirmation (either digital or printed) ready to present to our staff before boarding.


Cancellation Policy:


1. Free cancellations are available up to two weeks (14 days) before your scheduled tour date.

Cancellations made between 7 days and 72 hours prior to the booking will be eligible for a 50% partial refund or free rescheduling to an alternative date, subject to availability.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the booking will not be eligible for a refund.


Rescheduling:
2. If you need to reschedule your tour, please contact us at least 72 hours before your original booking date, and we will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability.

Late Arrivals:
3. To ensure the punctuality of our tours, we cannot delay departure for late arrivals. If you arrive after the scheduled tour time, you may miss the tour without a refund or rescheduling option.

Tour Modifications:
4. Tio Ōhiwa reserves the right to modify or cancel tours due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, customers will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Child Policy:
5. Children under the age of 5 are not recommended for our tours due to safety regulations and the nature of the experience. Children under the age of 14 may only participate in the tour if they are accompanied by an adult.

Health and Safety:
6. For the safety and enjoyment of all passengers, please follow the instructions of our crew and adhere to all safety guidelines during the tour.

Liability:
7. Tio Ōhiwa shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury to passengers or personal property during the tour. Passengers participate at their own risk.
